Salary Cap Increase Will Provide Relief


At the annual conference of the Sports Lawyers Association over the weekend NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly confirmed the NHL’s salary cap, which is tied to revenue, will rise again as it has every year under the current CBA to somewhere between $60.5 – $63.5 million.  The Cap currently sits at $59.4 million so this increase would give GM Ray Shero an additional $1.1 – $4.1 million to work with this off season.  Lets hope the number is closer to the latter.
